Closing Comments from the 6/8/21 BOC Meeting

Good Afternoon Everyone: I will begin today by taking one more opportunity to thank the citizens of Dunwoody for affording me the great privilege of being the keynote speaker for the Memorial Day Ceremony on May 31st. It was a wonderful event, and I was honored and humbled to take part. It was great to see our BOC colleague Commissioner Robert Patrick in attendance. I want to thank Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch for her leadership and Communications Director Jennifer Boettcher for the personal invitation to participate. I look forward to returning in the future. I would like to commend Tucker Mayor Frank Auman the City Council Members and all the citizens of Tucker for hosting a wonderful ceremony to dedicate Rosenfeld Park on May 28th. Councilman Bill Rosenfeld was an outstanding public servant and an all-around good guy. He touched many people in a positive way as evidenced by the great turnout at the event. I want to thank the City of Tucker for the invitation. It was an honor to be there. On June 5th, it was an honor to stand with CEO Michael Thurmond and Commissioner Robert Patrick as we kicked off President Biden’s “National Month of Action” with a Drive Thru COVID-19 vaccination and food distribution event at Hallford Stadium in District 4. Food insecurity remains real. Vaccine hesitancy for some parts of our community is real. Therefore, I commend the administration for bringing these resources to the people as they have been doing for over a year. l will close today by once again thanking the citizens of District 4 for affording me this opportunity to serve. It is indeed an honor.
