Good Afternoon, Everyone:
This Saturday, June 29, we will be holding our annual Back-to-School Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway, in partnership with Clarkston Mayor, Beverly Burks and Pastor Karl Moore and Clarkston First Baptist Church. It may only be June, but we're eager to ensure our DeKalb students have everything they need to be successful and get their 2024-2025 school year off to a great start!
Of course, students aren't the only ones who need school supplies. This year we will also have a Teachers Supplies Corner to help our DeKalb County educators supplement the materials they need for their classrooms. Often times, school-provided supplies can deplete towards the beginning of the school year, leaving many of our teachers to bridge the remaining gap out of their own pockets. And if teachers lose out, it's really our youth who lose out in the end. If you wish to participate in this endeavor with us, please check out our Teachers Supplies Registry at www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2UQ9ZZ37XKG2X
In addition to educational supplies, community partners will be on-hand to provide a plethora of health screenings and services, information about community support programs, and food, music, and games.
More information is available on the flyer below, on my website at www.commissionerbradshaw.com/2024-back-to-school, and across our communications platforms.
In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns, please call my office at 404-371-4749, visit my website at commissionerbradshaw.com, or use the link at the bottom of this email to Report an Issue.
As always, thank you to the citizens of District 4 and DeKalb County for affording me this opportunity to serve. It is indeed an honor.
